TURKU, Finland — In a game that featured two current Cornell University lacrosse players and one future Big Red player, the United States under-19 men’s national lacrosse team defeated Canada, 10-8, on Saturday in the finals of the Federation of International U19 World Championships in Turku, Finland.

One of the world’s eminent literary critics and a distinguished Cornell University scholar celebrates his 100th birthday this weekend and the release of his latest book.

M.H. Abrams will be honored Saturday and Sunday during a celebration hosted by Cornell’s English department.
