Big Red still perfect in soccer | The Ithaca Journal

VESTAL — Six games in and it is starting to look like a season to remember for the Cornell University men’s soccer team.

The Big Red, ranked No. 24 nationally by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, defeated Binghamton University 5-0 at the Bearcats Sports Complex on Wednesday night to remain undefeated.

Branding Vegetables So Kids Will Eat Them | Inventorspot

Would George H. W. Bush have liked broccoli if his mother referred to it as “Power Bunch Broccoli” instead of just plain (hold your nose) broccoli?  Research from Cornell University’s Food and Brand Lab says he would.

Brian Wansink and others had already concluded in previous research that people perceive food more positively when it has a ‘fancy’ name, rather than a plain or non-descriptive name. (Wansink et al, 2005) This time Wansink and other Cornell researchers tested that theory on kids and precisely the foods kids seem to hate: vegetables.

Cornell University severs business ties with adidas

ITHACA, N.Y. – On Sept. 13, 2012, Cornell University President David J. Skorton sent a letter to adidas Team Inc. Licensing Manager Robert Leuenberger, severing the university’s business relationship with the global sports clothing manufacturer.
